Senior Business Systems Analyst
Collaborate with business and technology teams to capture the application requirements, perform fit-gap analysis and author the detailed functional designs by integrating detailed process, data and application components into an end-end solution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise on the capabilities and integration of the business system(s) and/or given PeopleSoft CRM module (Sales, Support, Self-Service).
- Collaborate with business and technology leads to capture and document requirements for all deliverables including for business cases, process, analysis, functional requirements, and testing.
- Facilitate joint planning, application, and functional design sessions to support cross-team alignment.
- Assure that the interface and conversion functional design meets overall business process requirements and technology standards by conducting solution design reviews.
- Analyze findings to develop an end-to-end solution, applying business process re-engineering with use of new systems or enhancements to existing applications that meet the needs for assigned business area.
- Proactively identify data issues and collaborate with technology lead to mitigate the risks by proposing data rationalization and clean up strategies.
- Build use cases and models that clearly depict process flows relating to specific requirements using a combination of graphical information and text in natural language to convey business, system and functional requirements to both business and technical staff.
- Clarifies high-level business goals, turning them into specifications used by developers and QA testers to build and test applications.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training/mentoring to the project team for functional implementation of new system enhancements.
- Communicate with development teams to direct the development of system specifications through detailed analysis of business
- Work with technical team members through the detailed design phase to ensure proper interpretation of business requirements and ensure that future systems will meet requirements.
- Work with technical team for change management roll-out. Keep track of all change management requests, assignments, testing and communications to users.
- Supports development and QA teams during development and test phases; answers questions and provides more detail on specifications on an as-needed basis.
- Help the project team understand how the work being done relates to all area and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / SKILLS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5+ years experience with an SDLC, system development methodologies, requirements gathering, documentation of procedures and technical specification writing.
- 3+ years knowledge of delivered PeopleSoft CRM 8.9\9.0 functionalities, its business processes and underlining setup and configurations. (PeopleSoft CRM 8.9\9.0 for Security, Sales, Support Helpdesk, Self-Service and Order Capture & Management)
- Has significant PeopleSoft CRM implementation and upgrade support experience as well as patch/fixes analysis, analyze production architecture and process methodologies.
- Have demonstrable experience in accurately and efficiently specifying functional requirements for complex online applications.
- Possess broad knowledge of Internet technologies, including content management tools, e-commerce engines, profiling and personalization systems, and community and customer service applications.
- Possess at least five years of experience in an interactive development environment.
- Possess excellent consulting, interpersonal, communications/presentation skills, project management knowledge and can relate to clients and development personnel equally well.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills and a strong understanding of analytical process; including requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Experience in Logical Data and Process Modeling.
- Experience in project management, time and budget scheduling and resource allocation.
- Experience with standard software development methodologies, RUP, UML, SDLC.
- Experience with modeling and requirements management tools (e.g. Visio, Caliber RM, Together, Rational Rose).
- PS Query, Crystal Report, XML Publisher, PeopleTools 8.45+, PS workflow
DESIRED SKILLS:

- Formal Training in Business Analysis practices, preferably with an International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certified training vendor
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- PMP certification
- Knowledge of e-commerce principles and web technologies.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis techniques is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing applications, preferably Borland SilkTest
